A traditional blend of spices such as turmeric, paprika and cumin
Ideal for creating the traditional Asian side
dish containing potatoes, spinach and onions.
Ingredients
- Diced potatoes – 450g
- Vegetable oil – 20g
- Chopped onion – 100g
- Spinach – 255g
- Saag Aloo spice – 15g
- Water – 160g
Method
- Boil the diced potatoes in lightly salted water until soft.
- Drain the potatoes and set aside.
- Add the oil to a pan and place on a medium heat.
- Add the onions and cook until softened.
- Mix together the seasoning and water and add to the pan.
- Add the potatoes to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
- Ensure the dish is piping hot before serving.
Use 15g of spice
for every 450g of potatoes.
Supplied as a 50g pack.
